Bauman Moscow State Technical University Youth Space Center holds Space Development: Theory & Practice International Summer Space School annually since 1998. The school provides an opportunity for university students enthusiastic about space to learn more about space science and technology, visit organizations involved in Russian space program, see and touch the real space hardware, meet people working on the front edge of space science and technology and gain an experience of working on a project as part of an international team.

“Space Development: Theory & Practice” – 2025 International Summer Space School will take place in Moscow July 5-19, 2025. The school schedule includes lectures on various aspects of space science and technology, visits to Russian space industry enterprises and centers, a team project, discussion meetings with cosmonauts, scientists, and specialists as well as a cultural program in Moscow including visits to Kremlin museums, Tretyakov Art Gallery and a theatre

Participants of the science school go through a competitive selection process in the form of an interview in which they demonstrate their knowledge of the basics of spaceflight , their ability to participate in scientific and technical discussions in English and basic engineering skills to participate in the project.
